WaterS: stratigic partnership for water quality parameter retrieval

WaterS: Strategic partnerships for improved basin-scale water quality parameter retreival from optical signatures

This project focuses on creating strategic and dynamic partnerships for long-term cooperation between three excellent research groups with proven high competence and capacity in the field of remote sensing of optically complex waters from Tartu Observatory, (Estonia), Stockholm
University (Sweden), Finnish Environment Institute (Finland), and three successful and quickly developing enterprises with unique complementary expertise and tools (Water Insight, The Netherlands; Brockmann Consult, Germany; Vattenfall Power Consult, Sweden).

Together, the partners will work on knowledge and know-how transfer, organise workshops and carry our research on optical properties. In various stages of the project personnel will be exchanged between the partners to strengthen co-operation.

The project is funded by Marie Curie Industry-Academia Partnerships and Pathways (IAPP) and is planned 2010-2014
