For the GO-project EVAPO-MSG Water Insight has set up a production line for processing hydrological maps from MSG image data. These maps comprise of e.g. evapotranspiration, precipitation and NDVI, both on a daily basis and a 10-day average (decade). These maps are perfectly suited as input for hydrological models, such as for instance the STREAM model. Using our recent and true hydrological maps the output of a hydrological model is greatly improved. on the website www.waterqualitymap.eu/evapo examples of MSG-derived hydrological maps can be viewed.
